Good afternoon HSAG Family,

It is hard to believe that tomorrow is the last day of the school year.  Even though this school year has had its challenges, we are so proud of our students and staff.  They have worked so hard to accomplish so much!

Please see the last newsletter of the school year:  It does contain important information for next year (schedule, calendar, reminders, school supplies, etc.)

Our campus will be closed to visitors for the remainder of the week.

  • We will be live streaming our awards ceremonies.
  • 6th Grade Promotion Ceremony is postponed — Our 6th grade teachers will be sending out additional details later today.

Have a great evening.  Please let us know if you have any questions.

Good afternoon HSAG Family,

We want to invite you to the Family Dance Party this Friday night from 5:30-7:30 in the gym. We will have a glow in the dark theme with lots of light up toys, concessions, dancing, and a live DJ for the music! Admission is $5.00 per family to attend; however if parents are willing to volunteer during the event – the PTO will waive your admission fee. Please reach out to Cherish Burford, PTO President to volunteer by email at

We will also have a silent auction during the dance event with incredible items available for you to bid on! This includes an American Girl Doll, an autographed OU Basketball, Raising Cane’s Gift Basket, Kendra Scott earrings, Central Market Gift Basket, A Puppy Care Kit Basket, Sports Baskets, Hunting Safari Trips, Sports Tickets, Waterpark tickets, and so much more!  We look forward to seeing each of you at the event on Friday!

Good afternoon HSAG family!

Our 3rd – 6th grade students will be participating in the State of Texas Assessments of Academic Readiness (STAAR) reading test tomorrow.  We are so proud of our teachers and students for all of their hard work. We are not gonna sweat the STAAR! Now through May 17, all students and staff can wear their comfy sweats or work out clothes (school appropriate). To ensure your child’s success on STAAR, please do the following:

*Make sure your child is present for all scheduled testing days

Thursday – May 12 (3rd-6th Reading)

Tuesday – May 17 (5th Science)

*Make sure your child has plenty of sleep the night before tests.

*Eat a good breakfast the morning of testing.

*We do urge students to bring a water bottle and snack to eat during and after testing.

*Arrive at school on time by 7:30 a.m. (testing starts as soon as school starts)

*Encourage your child to do their personal best each morning . This can greatly improve your child’s self-confidence!

Also, please remember that our campus will be closed to visitors during testing May 10-13 and May 17.

Thank you!
